Successful Funding of the Pilot Plant

September 2015: crowdinvesting campaign and a public funding enable the admission into the pilot phase

A further step toward industrialization of our awarded Glycerlax-Process has been accomplished. A fruitful crowdinvesting campaign as well as public funding, granted by the Austrian Economic Service, enable the admission into the pilot phase.

Preparations have already begun. Early in 2016, the Glycerlax pilot plant will be built on the area of the biodiesel facility of Münzer Bioindustrie GmbH. This pilot plant, having a capacity of 100 liters per day, will directly convert crude glycerol derived from the biodiesel process into lactic acid. During operation essential parameters for the scale up into industrial dimensions will be gained. Later in 2017 these collected data will be used for planning the industrial facility.
